Mission Impossible - Boomers Vs The Dream Team - Can They Win?

Tonight Australians and Americans will be glued to their television screens as they watch the men’s basketball. For Americans, it is probably considered an easy win because your team is considered to be unbeatable. So what about the Australians ? Is there any hope for them? Can they topple the unbeatable?

Mike McKay of the Herald Sun Newspaper believes it is possible, but it is all a matter of attitude. Mike claims that there is no such thing as a contest that you can not win at the Olympics. This should be the same attitude that you take into your everyday life - there is no battle or situation that you can not overcome.

The thinking that Mike states that the Aussies must avoid is:

We’ve got nothing to lose - let’s just go out there and give it a crack. This is not the attitude that you or the Boomers want to maintain because you are already focussed on defeat and not on winning. ‘Give it a crack’ - to me this implies that they are ready to have a go at winning but the expectation is that they will lose. Don’t go through life with this attitude - make it your expectation to always win - don’t ever doubt it.

All I can do is my personal best - again this is a statement that smells of defeat. To me it states that I will do my best but I am unlikely to win. Yes it is wonderful to strive to do your best - that said, you must expect to win in life. The Boomers don’t want to do their best against the Dream Team; they must expect to win.

We can hope that the other team has a really bad night - this statement brings out one really important point - you must always delve deep within yourself for success and ignore any external circumstances. You can not rely on others to perform or in this case not perform, in order for you to be successful.

You must understand and I hope the Boomers understand that you have all the power within yourself for success. It is up to you.

I can’t wait to see the basketball match tonight - good luck to both teams.

   Thank you for your comment..unfortunately it was mission impossible since Australia was well and truly defeated.
   The Law of Attraction may not have worked for them but continue to focus on your goals and I am sure that it will for you.
