Law of Attraction and Extreme Snowboarding

Posted on August 26th, 2008

Watch this video of Terje Haakonsen and hold onto the sides of your chair as you do - it is really extreme snowboarding. I have only ever been skiing on two occasions and one of them was in Switzerland (bragging a little) and I was terrified going up to the top of that mountain and going down by myself as even more terrifying. Terje Haakonsen takes it to a completely new level.

I ask myself two questions:

1. Why would someone want to go down a mountain like that ?

Law of Attraction - Paul Blackburn - Mental Toolbox

Posted on August 25th, 2008

My wife and I attended a three day course called The Mental Toolbox run by Paul Blackburn. It was a really wonderful course that was conducted in a caring, thoughtful way by a terrific Australian Paul and his wife Mary. I would recommend this course to anyone in Australia or visiting Australia. Send me an email and I will give you further details of the upcoming events.

Most people start at the beginning of a course and then tell you what has happened through the three days, but i am certainly not most people. I want to tell you straight up exactly what advice Paul gave us to have our lives improve dramatically.

They are:

1. You must meditate each day (take as little as 10 minutes if that is all you have).

Mission Impossible - Boomers Vs The Dream Team - Can They Win?

Posted on August 20th, 2008

Tonight Australians and Americans will be glued to their television screens as they watch the men’sBoomers, Olympics basketball. For Americans, it is probably considered an easy win because your team is considered to be unbeatable. So what about the Australians ? Is there any hope for them? Can they topple the unbeatable?

Mike McKay of the Herald Sun Newspaper believes it is possible, but it is all a matter of attitude. Mike claims that there is no such thing as a contest that you can not win at the Olympics. This should be the same attitude that you take into your everyday life - there is no battle or situation that you can not overcome.

The thinking that Mike states that the Aussies must avoid is:

We’ve got nothing to lose - let’s just go out there and give it a crack. This is not the attitude that you or the Boomers want to maintain because you are already focussed on defeat and not on winning. ‘Give it a crack’ - to me this implies that they are ready to have a go at winning but the expectation is that they will lose. Don’t go through life with this attitude - make it your expectation to always win - don’t ever doubt it.

Posted on August 15th, 2008

I know that some of you reading this article are thinking - I’m to old to create my dreams, its all over for me. What a load of crap! Shame on you for even thinking those thoughts. You are never too old to achieve your dreams if you stay focused on them - visualise them - stay positive - remain impervious to anything that might happen outside of your control. Olympics, China, Equestrian Dara Torres is 41 years old and in the swimming pool this year at the Olympics competing against swimmers that are less than half her age. Was she competitive? Absolutely. She is a mother and an Olympian - it is never to late for you - hold onto your goals and the universe will deliver them to you.

Hiroshi Hokestu said “I feel relieved. If you have a goal, you can stay young. It would be good if people of my generation feel the same”. Who is he? He is the rider in the image, a 67 year old Japanese Olympian in the equestrian teams event. Hiroshi competed in the 1964 Tokyo Olympic Games. For all of you that think you are too old to change your life, or achieve your goals remember this name - and never doubt your ability again.

To keep him company is a 60 year old Australian Laurie Lever who will compete in the horse jumping. How bad do you feel if your 40 years old and are feeling to old to achieve your goals? You have another 20 years and could be competing in the Olympics. It is really time to now change your mindset.
